The brain is a highly efficient system that is connected to every cell in your body by billions of connections. It is divided into a right and left hemisphere. Each hemisphere is responsible for different modes of thinking, each specializing in certain skills. The left hemisphere is logical side and the right hemisphere is creative side. The left hemisphere communicates with and controls the right side of the body, while the right hemisphere communicates with and controls the left side of the body. Although both hemispheres communicate with each other and share some functions. Day to day circumstances usually are met in a logical, left brain mode; however by yielding to the right, creative side of the brain we actually restore balance in the brain. This allows us access to the mind-body connection to achieve what we want. The right side of the brain automatically steers you to your goal. It totally accepts what you want to accomplish without giving an opinion and acts upon it without judgment. That is why visualization targets the right side of the brain.

Both hemispheres of the brain should be given equal importance to lead an effective life. Those who make use of both hemispheres of the brain tend to produce better results in life.

Each hemisphere is further divided into lobes. Each lobe has generalized functions. The frontal lobes have the capability to plan for the future, control movement, integrate emotional responses, and produce speech. The parietal lobes receive and process information received from the senses – such as pain, taste, and smell – and are involved with logic and mathematical processes. The occipital lobes handle vision. The temporal lobes hear and interpret language, tones, sound patterns, and music; and participate in emotion. The limbic lobe is responsible for sexual, emotional, and memory processing.
