1.  Take care of yourself.

You are not a machine, so don’t treat yourself like one. You can’t be effective if you’re not healthy.  The key is to find what sort of exercise that work for you, then stick with it.

2. Hone your communication.

Open and honest communication can prevent miscommunication from flaring into major dispute. Below are some advice offered to you:

  • Strive to be both an active listener and productive talker, especially in conflict situation.
  • Avoid confrontation that will not bring about a productive resolution.
  •  A short-term technique is to deal with stress -causing people is to count from one to ten before responding , but do you really want to count all the time ?

3. Be a team builder.

I believe in being a coach – type leader, not a dictator. I would like to get other involved so they make a contribution and I don’t feel like I have to come up with all solution.

4. Try a fresh approach.

You must always be willing to try more than one approach to the same problems you are facing over and over again!

One of the best way cope with job stress is constantly look for new solution to your familiar problems.

5. Share the burden.

I would like to points out that for instance, safety can mean different things to different people.  Management’s view is that workers should work more safely, while the workers’ views that management should correct hazards. Both group want safe workplace and it is up to us to facilitate.
